The Pepperell Dragons made the road trip to Summerville to face off against the Chattooga Indians in the Region 7-A opener for both teams. The Dragons defense would hold the Indians at bay for most of the game. The Dragons were only able to muster up 21 points against the Indians defense, but that would prove enough as the Dragons would come away with a 21 to 7 Win.

First Quarter

Pepperell would win the toss and elect to defer to the second half. The Indians would take their opening possession into Dragon territory but the drive would end with a punt. The Pepperell drive would replicate Chattooga’s and end with a punt. After a good punt return by #11 Quarry Gibson Chattooga would start the drive on the midfield stripe. Chattooga would unfortunately go three and out and give the ball back to Pepperell. That would end the 1st with a 0-0 Score.

Second Quarter

The Chattooga offense would start the second quarter on the Dragon 31 yard line. After a few key penalties the Indians would punt and Pepperell would start on their own  24 yard line. Just a few plays later Pepperell Quarterback #5 Erik Jensen would hit #11 D.j. Rogers for a 51 yard pass completion. That would get the Dragons offense going as they would put the first points on the board with a 3 yard Touchdown run by #11 D.j. Rogers . That would end the scoring in the first half with the score Pepperell 7 Chattooga 0.

Chattooga would again get the offense going into Dragon territory but yet again it would end on a punt. That would end the third quarter with the score remaining Pepperell 14 Chattooga 0.

Fourth Quarter

After a illegal substitution penalty and a false start Chattooga would punt it back to Pepperell and would not get it back until the deficit was increased to 21-0. #11 D.j.
