Tigers Roar to Big Victory over Chattooga

This day in age when you say high flying offense most people would think of the spread. That wasn’t the case this past Friday as the Tigers from Temple showed how they use the wing t to put points on the board. The Tigers rolled up over 350 yards rushing in route to a 57 to 21 victory over Chattooga.

First Quarter

Chattooga opened the game on offense and were unable to get anything going. After the punt, Temple went on a 9 play drive capped off by a 4 yard Touchdown run by #5 Cayson McAnallan. Temple added a 2 point conversion to make the score Temple 8 Chattooga halfway through he 1st Quarter. After another Indian punt the Tigers would turn the ball over via Interception by #2 Colton Sanford. That would end the first quarter with the score remaining at 8-0 Temple.

Second Quarter

The first play for Chattooga in the Second quarter was a 49 yard touchdown run. Unfortunately the Touchdown was nullified due to penalty. A few plays later the Indians would punt. Temple would a score on the first play on the drive with a 53 yard Touchdown pass from # 7 Jackson Gribben to #9 Jace Glenn. Chattooga would mount a drive of their own capped off by a 2 yard run by #7 Zayden Cook. Temple would add another score just before the half on a short run by #3 (C.J) Claude Gray. At the Half the score was Temple 22 Chattooga 7.

Third Quarter

Temple would open the second half with a 2 play drive finished off with a 58 Yard Touchdown run by #3 (C.J) Claude Gray. Just a few plays later Chattooga would light up the scoreboard with a long score of their own with a 69 Yard Touchdown pass from #6 Landon Willingham to #11 Quarry Gibson. That would move the score to Temple 28 Chattooga 14.

Fourth Quarter

After a temple score, Chattooga’s #0 Dan Meyer would return the ensuing kickoff 84 yards for the final Indian Touchdown of the evening. Temple would add a few more scores late in the game and the final score would end up Temple 57 Chattooga 21.

Next Week

Temple 3-0(0-0) will host to the Lumpkin County Indians 2-0(0-0) while Chattooga 0-2(0-0) will host Coahulla Creek 1-1(0-0) at the Little Big Horn next week.
